How to attract the tourists to revisit or recommend the destination to others is crucial for the success of tourism development (Kastarlak and Barber, 2011).Decision regarding re-visitation and the recommendation is known as the tourists’ post purchase behavior. Post purchase behavior can be defined as the future behavior commitment to purchase a product or service or the link with a provider on all those occasions when other alternatives are possible (Rundle-Thiele, 2005; Chen and Chen, 2010). According to Weaver and Lawton (2002); Lau and Mckercher (2004), the promotional cost of attracting repeat visitors are less than first time visitors. Therefore, it is vital to identify the determinants of the tourists’ post purchase behavior especially in Sri Lankan context. Various researchers had done many researches under this topic. However, there is no common agreement between scholars and there is no enough evidence to show that the most significant factors for tourists’ post purchase behavior in Sri Lankan context. Therefore, this study investigated what are the significant factors which determine tourists’ post purchase behavior. Hence, the research assists tourism planners to implement their policies in an effective way. For this study, destination attribute, perception on destination loyalty and travel motives were taken as determinants. Perception on designation loyalty has acted as intermediary determinant between destination attribute and tourists’ post purchase behavior. It means perception on destination loyalty had been raised through the destination attributes. Methodology This research has done in Galle area in southern province of Sri Lanka since it has been rated as the second highest region and most of the tourists have taken accommodation here for night. Thus the sample has been taken based on most tourists’ attractive places in Galle area. Data were collected from 100 foreign tourists where the convenience sampling technique was used to select the sample and questionnaire method to collect data. Questionnaire consisted with five point likert scale questions and close ended questions. It has designed as self-administered questionnaire. Research consisted with independent and dependent variables and three hypotheses have been built to achieve established objectives. Data analyzing has been done in order to achieve the research objectives and Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS 16) has been used to analyze and interpret the research findings. Descriptive analysis has been used to identify existing condition of the determinants. The strength of relationship between independent and dependent variable was analyzed by Karl Pearson coefficient of correlation, and regression analysis was used to identify most influential determinants for tourists’ post purchase behavior.Item The Effect of Work-Family Conflict on Organizational Commitment of Managerial Level Employees(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2016) Deshani, Y.G.A.S.; Fasana, S.F.Work-family conflict is a form of inter-role conflict in which work and family demands are mutually incompatible, meeting demands of both the domains is difficult. In staff – and indispensable factor. Uniqueness of human resources is practically impossible to substitute them with any other factor. Human behavior has a strong influence on the working environment of an organization. It is capable of making the organization flourish or perish. Hence an employer should satisfy the physical and psychological needs of his employees in order to motivate them strive for the achievement of the organization goals. Job satisfaction is a favorable emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one’s job as achieving or facilitating the achievement of one’s job values. If one perceives that the job meets or allows fulfillment of one’s important values, one will experience a “pleasurable emotion of satisfaction”. If not, one will experience the emotion of dissatisfaction (Locke, 1983). Moreover Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) has been considered to be one of the most important factors influencing organizational effectiveness. During the last two decades, the concept of OCB and its application have received a great importance in the world especially in the fields of psychology and management as well as received a great consideration in the literature. According to Organ (1988) OCB represents “individual behavior that is discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system, and that in the aggregate promotes the effective functioning of the organization. By discretionary, we mean that the behavior is not an enforceable requirement of the role or the job description, that is, the clearly specifiable terms of the person’s employment contract with the organization; the behavior is rather a matter of personal choice, such that its omission is not generally understood as punishable” (p.4). This study is designed to observe the impact of job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior. Research Questions What is the relationship between job satisfaction and OCB? What is the level of intrinsic job satisfaction? What is the level of extrinsic job satisfaction? What is the most significant job satisfaction factor which influences on OCB? Research Objectives • To identify the relationship between job satisfaction and OCB of licensed commercial banks in Sri Lankan context. level of intrinsic job satisfaction of licensed commercial banks in Sri level of extrinsic job satisfaction of licensed commercial banks in Sri most significant job satisfaction factor which influences on OCB of licensed commercial banks in Sri Lankan context? Primary data were collected through self- administered questionnaires as well as adapted questionnaires and questionnaires are based on five point Likert scale. Cronbach's alpha reliability test, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze data. Results and Discussion According to description analysis level of both intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction is in a moderate level as well as overall level of OCB is in a moderate level. Furthermore, the correlation and regression analysis were conducted to determine the strength of relationship and relative contribution of independent variables. Here job satisfaction is the independent variable and OCB is the dependent variable. Pearson correlation between independent and dependent variables is 0.758. It indicates there is a high positive correlation between job satisfaction and OCB. According to hypothesis testing it was proved that the correlation between intrinsic job satisfaction and OCB (r = 0.719) as well as the correlation between extrinsic job satisfaction and OCB (r = 0.742) are positively correlated.Item The Impact of Non-work Roles on the Success of Women Owned SMEs With Special Reference to Western Province)(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2020) Vimarsha, G.D.T.; Fasana, S.F.; Jayasinghe, N.C.Entrepreneur success research suffers from a lack of consistency in defining the scope of non-work (life outside work). Considering the evolving life preferences of modern women entrepreneurs, entrepreneur success researchers should have a broader view of life which expands beyond work-family and include other non-work domains of life. This study is an attempt to establish that for today’s women entrepreneurs. For this study, several non-work domains were identified from previous literature. The research was based on primary data and the data were collected through 160 women entrepreneurs selected using a stratified sampling method and convenience sampling method by distributing self-administrated questionnaires. To validate research objectives, 10 women entrepreneurs out of 160 were selected who have achieved success in their business. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, structural equation modeling, and thematic analysis. Results indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between nonwork roles (marital role, parental role, community involvement, leisure activities, and religious involvement) and the success of women's owned SMEs. Findings further revealed that the women entrepreneurs were satisfied with the existing level of non-work roles participation in Sri Lanka. Women entrepreneurs identified family support, personal factors, and quality employee base as supportive factors for engaging and balancing their non-work roles.
