The objective of this study was to determine variation of Crude protein content, Fat content and Energy value of forage species, CO-3 [[Hybrid Napier (Pennisetum perpureum X Pennisetum americarnum) and CO-4 (Pennisetum glaucum x P.purpureum schumach)] with relevant to twelve different veterinary divisions in Matale district, Sri Lanka. To determine whether there is any variation in Crude Protein content, Fat content and Energy value according to the grass type, according to the location or any combined effect of location and grass type for above nutrient parameters. Specific objective of this study were to identify is there any significance between fertilized soil mineral composition and grass mineral composition. According to the study the location significantly effect for Crude Protein% and Energy value. Combination of location and grass type effect for Ether extraction fat% (P<0.05). There were no relationship shows between Soil Phosphorous content and grass Phosphorous content. According to the study there were no correlation between soil Potassium and grass Potassium content. Soil Chloride and grass Chloride content also found that there were no correlation between Soil Sulfate content and grass Sulfate content. Keywords: Crude protein, Crude Fat, Ether Extraction Fat, Minerals, Nutrientsen_US
