After Sales service Management System

Human resource is the most valuable resource in the world. In other hand it's very difficult to handle not just as the other resources. For a business it can be affects in two ways. Those two ways are Employees and Customers. According to this project business organization will be able to manage it in a kind of way. This project will be addressing the business problem with business solution plus IT solution. When consider about the Employees as one part of human resource they should be fully motivated and enthusiastic to do their job. Otherwise they get fed up in their own jobs and they will not try gain for the business. The one way of motivating employees is giving incentives but increasing their salary and keeping too much employees in the organization is extra cost for them. Then consider about customers they are the most important part of the modern business. Customer satisfaction is very much necessary to face for the competition and its leads to customer retention with the business. Otherwise to acquire new customers business organizations have cost more on it. One kind of customer retention technique is giving them a good after sales service. For do that business organization should be well prepared and be ready to serve them. Therefore they need good after sales service force within their organization. Most of the companies unable to balance these two part of human beings. So this project will be helped to keep a good service force while minimizing the operating cost and increasing the customer satisfaction by giving them most reliable, fastest and secured service with very convenience way.
Android Based Accident Guider for Insurance Involvers

Due to the inefficient way of current insurance application and communication methods among policy holders and insurance agents while accident occurring. Current system is reason to slow response rate, wastage of time and finding locations. Mobile applications are more users friendly and useful in many situations and we can make different application according to the user. Android Based Accident Guider for Insurance Involvers replace the current procedures. Policy holders, agent and insurance officers are connected by proposed system. System has two modules which are android module and web module. The system looks at solving these issues by proposing both a business as well as an IT solution. These factors are then taken as variables to formulate hypotheses of the study. A comprehensive industrial survey was carried out to gather further details on the subject matter thus the results of it were considered whilst proving or disapproving the hypotheses. The most influential factors identified through the research were then used to design the business solution. Furthermore, various issues, perspectives and theories that were identified through the research were used to model, design and eventually develop the IT solution.
Bank Management System

In the recent years, computers are included in almost all kind of works and jobs everyone come across in the routine. The availability of the software's for almost every process or every system has taken the world in its top-gear and fastens the day-to-day life. Therefore, I have tried to develop the software program for the Bank Management System where all the tasks to manage the bank system are performed easily and efficiently. It manages all the transactions like new account entry, deposit as well as withdraw entry, loan entry, pawn entry, payroll entry, etc. Thus, above features of this software will save transaction time and therefore increase the efficiency of the system. The Rural Bank uses Manual system, and maintains their records, however it is not possible them to handle the data from multiple system in multi user environment, there is lot of duplicate work, and chance of mistake. When the records are changed they need to update. There is no option to find and print previous saved records. There is no security; anybody can access any report and sensitive data, also no reports to summary report. This Bank Management System is used to overcome the entire problem which they are facing currently, and making complete atomization of manual system to computerized system. The "BANK SYSTEM" undertaken as a project is relevant technologies. The main aim of this project is to develop software for bank system. This project is to develop software for bank system. This project developed to carry out the processes easily and quickly, which is not possible with the systems, which are overcome by this software. This project is developed using java language.
Client Support for Buying and Selling Shares Based on Colombo Stock Exchange

Main purpose of a member of Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is to gain higher profitability. As we know Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is used by share buyers and sellers to do their transactions aiming higher profitability. To do the transactions, candidate must become a member of Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and particular candidate must register in Central Depository System (CDS) through an intermediate in order to become a member of CSE. At present CSEhas 21 intermediates. Candidate has the full authority to select one intermediate among all intermediates and then the registered user can do the transactions. Intermediary practiced to charge a commission for both buying and selling. Therefore shareholders must agree on a specific rate to do the transaction. It is dictated by CSE that, commission need to be divided between CSE and intermediate. Problem identified in this is, CSE process working days are weekdays (excluding holidays) from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30p.m. All the registered users' must focus on that particular time for gain the profitability. Share prices are rapidly changing. Therefore with short period of time members be able to gain huge profits as well as the huge losses. Throughout the process price can be change. If system supports the multiple transactions, it takes several minutes to process. But all the needs cannot fulfill simultaneously because, the system doesn't support for multiple transactions at the same time. And also they may have different interesting on different shares. As well simultaneously two or more shareholders can have the need of same share. As well in an intermediate institute there are many shareholders. Another way of processing a transaction is browse the CSE website and inform intermediate to buy or sell some selected shares. For that also it takes several minutes to complete the process. Therefore decision making opportunity can be changing by the way transaction processed. It may raise profits or losses due to share prices changing rapidly.

Controlling Windows Media Player with Hand Signals

In this paper, a real-time Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) based on the hand gesture recognition is proposed. HCI is moving more and more natural and intuitive way to be used. One of the important parts of our body is our hand which is most frequently used for the Interaction in Digital Environment and thus complexity and flexibility of motion of hands are the research topics. And in this paper about applying this concept for Windows Media Player that is the most fervently use player. It is very comfortable to have hand signal control system for Windows Media Player .Because it is an application frequently that use in day-to-day Life. The results show that hand gesture recondition used for interaction is better than normal static keyboard as the interaction process is more accurate and natural in dynamic environment with no distance limitations. Also it enhances the user's interaction and immersion feeling. Virtual environments have always been considered as a means for more visceral and efficient human computer interaction by a diversified range of applications. Evolution of ubiquitous computing, current user interaction approaches with keyboard, mouse and pen are not sufficient for the still widening spectrum of Human computer interaction. Gloves and sensor based trackers are unwieldy, constraining and uncomfortable to use. Due to the limitation of these devices the useable command set based diligences is also limited. Direct use of hands as an input device is an innovative method for providing natural Human Computer Interaction The research effort centralizes on the efforts of implementing an application that employs computer vision algorithms and gesture recognition techniques base on skin colors and shape which in turn results in developing a low cost interface device for interacting with computer using hand gestures technique for Windows Media Player.
Daily Sales Recording system

Currently, some businesses' employees engaging in outside sales use specialized tablet computers, and particularly use them to place orders. Unfortunately, this approach has a number of shortcomings; the tablet computers can be very costly to upgrade and maintain and usually have a short battery life and unable to know daily sales details which have done sales representatives. Wireless is an emerging communication technology frontier that offers the possibility of instant mobile communications. Given advances in mobile computing technology, the role of hand¬held devices seems certain to grow exponentially as more computing power and communications capability is included. It is in the best interest of business and information managers to take advantage of mobile technology to transform overall business strategies, operational efficiency, and information availability. It is essential to streamline business processes with mobile devices to maintain competitiveness and increase responsiveness in today's market. In this research I argue that there is an enormous potential benefit for these businesses from use of mobile devices like smart phones to assist in recording sales orders in daily and synchronizing with existing software, anywhere at any time. The Smartphone device chosen for this purpose is based on the open source Android platform. The key factors in choosing Android are its capacitive touchscreen, embedded database file system, total cost, and much more. This research describes an application that is designed based on a client-server model, with central database serving as a repository of data relating to customers and product information. Another important feature of this application is its network connectivity needed to pull real-time data from a backend server. The mobile application developed presents a mobile application solution for the main entry point allowing the sales force to capture customer orders in daily in the field on a handheld device that can communicate with the laptop and then submit the orders to the business system via the Internet.
Decision Support System for Sellers

The world is rotating with many new concepts to survive with the time. Globalization is the most recent matter that concerned by people. Today each and every activities which are happen in every nook and corner in the world depends on this concept. Specially when concern the market, rather it does not imply its traditional meaning. Previously it meant a place that sellers and buyers can meet. But today market place turned in to a virtual market place. There is no need to meet each other. Today in cyber space there are number of e-commerce web sites which people can meet. While some web sites provide a specific good others act as a all rounder. They provide number of products at once through their web sites. But the problem is all these systems concern only from buyer's aspect. They determine what will be the desires of buyers, future trends of market, changes of buying behavior etc..They are not going to consider about people who supply products to this online marketplace. As a solution for this problem this system while concern about customers in other hand it will concern about sellers as well. Through this system sellers can gain a help to make their decisions. Because sellers should have a clear idea about buyer's mind and it's changes. When developing this system number of tools were used. Such as HTML,CSS,JavaScript. MySql used for create the database part.
Decision Support System for Southern Highway Gates

Presently Sri Lanka has been recognized as a country with a rapid development in many sectors as economy, transportation, healthcare, education, etc. Therefore, transportation plays a main role of the development of the economy as well as the quality of lives of the citizens. As a result of that the first express way was born in year 2011 as Southern Highway. Since the express way concept is new to our transportation culture, it has identified several problems which affect to the efficiency of the highway and caused to limit the advantages of the highway. According to the current system the payments and suitability confirmation of a vehicle have to be done manually at the existing gates which may cause for the long vehicle queues at highway entrances. It is a major problem which reduces the efficiency of the road and increases the fuel wastage causing the environmental pollution as well. This project proposes a computerized automated decision support system for all the main functionalities while proposing a criterion to maintain the roadworthiness of the vehicle by performing a Suitability Test. The commuters will be facilitated with an online payment service which is one of the major parts of the project. A desktop application is used for acquiring the vehicle details with the help of image processing techniques. The system maintains a loyalty client category so that they are provided over drafts with predefined limits in case of lack of credits while travelling. When a particular driver on his way on the highway, before he reach to the exiting gate he can recharge his own account just by sending a SMS. The Decision Support System provides several benefits to the drivers including all the road users, the national economy and the environment. System avoids unnecessary queues and delays at the gates which causes to a pleasant drive for the drivers. Therefore, stressfulness of the drivers is minimized and it resultants to prevent road accidents.
Development of A financial Analyzing Tool for Decision Makers

As per the accretion of the modern business requirements, new techniques must be developed to effectively design and create accurate and understandable financial information quickly because financial analyzing requirements come from a variety of sources, including companies and independent organizations. For this project web based financial analyzing system has been created for decision makers towards measuring and comparing performance of the companies to look beyond the standard financial statements and help to develop financial goals achievements. This web based system designed for effective information management and reporting on financial and investment activities for stakeholders such as brokers, dealers and investment companies. Users can run analysis charting indicators to analyze the trend within a certain time frame and use the historical data to check their strategies. Information published on this system is essentially immediately available from anywhere in the world at the same time and this system provides a form of dissemination through a website that can provide a flexible format to present forward-looking information facilitating users for analyzing. This system include the predominant use of quantitative data which are often already in electronic format. Findings of this project not only help investors making investment decisions, but also can help managers make decisions to improve their company's financial performance and any other independent party who are interested with company's financial performance.
Distance Learning System

Effective learning always includes questioning. Questioning will enable the student to clarify what he or she get from the lesson to make confirmed without doubts. Today learning system is mostly based on internet and electronic devices such as smart mobile phones, laptops, online library function providing devices such as Kindle and called E-Larning. But there are some limitations and the things that can be improved for a better learning system. For an instance bi-directional communication is less with current systems. In order to fill this gap The Distance Learning system is proposed and this system includes bi-directional communication with the teacher. The proposed system enable user to communicate with the teacher through a live message system while he is performing the lessons and the student can clarify his or her doubts as they arise. Then teacher can provide the clarification at the same time through the system itself.
Drugs Indicater and Pharmacy Management System

Giving incorrect drugs from the pharmacist is a considerable problem in modern society. Numbers of patients were death and large numbers of patients were disabled due to wrong drugs given by pharmacists. Inability to identify right drugs is the main problem. Sometimes expire dates are clearly mentioned in the containers. Therefore pharmacist will issue expired drugs to the customers. Next issue is time wasting to select correct drugs. Since it is difficulty identify the relevant stores for drugs. Thus customers need to wait until pharmacist select the drug from the exact rack or location. Main objective of this project is to provide a solution for mentioned problems above by providing a technology based solution. This consists of hardware based solution and a software based solution. This gives physical indication for the drugs stored in the pharmacy. Programmed Techduino (clone of arduino) will detect correct path to the drugs by using application given binary value. And proposed application is giving managing facility for pharmacist to regulate day to day activities like remove expired drugs, drugs re-order alerts, stock details, and several reports. This desertion will be exposed more detail about issues, how those issues handle, structure of the project, and environmental context of the project.
Effective Online Passenger Transportation Service System

The Online Passenger Transportation Service System is a web-based application that allows passengers check seat availability, buy bus ticket and pay the bus ticket online. This system is established for all the passengers after gaining access from the administrator. Chapter I is Introduction. It describes the project background, motivation, goals, and achievements in brief, and structure of dissertation. Chapter His Literature Review and. Chapter III is methodology. It describes thetechnology and approach. Chapter IV is includes details about the design. It describes the functionality of the application. Chapter V is includes images of implementation of my application. Testing & Evaluation part is includes in Chapter VI. It concerns with existing systems, then using the information gathered to define the requirements for a new system. Future works were included in Chapter VII. This project is aimed at developing an online seat reservation system for a bus. The Passenger Transportation Service System is an Internet based application that can be accessed throughout the Net and can be accessed by anyone who has a net connection. This application will automate the reservation of tickets.
Effective Tax Collection System for The Inland Revenue Department of Sri Lanka

The Inland Revenue Department of Sri Lanka is a leading government institute in Sri Lanka. The main role of the institution is collecting taxes representing the government. It is controlled by the Ministry of Finance and Planning. The department's head office is in Colombo 2. The data of the department is handled by the computer development unit. There are not any separate information systems for these branches. There is an increasing request from the government to collect much revenue from taxes to face the increasing financial problems experienced by the country. So the Inland Revenue Department has to collect tax from registered tax payers effectively. The registration process of new tax payers completely depends on the availability of tax-information and easy tax payment system. In such a situation the department has to have an enhanced tax payments collection system and an efficient way of handling tax-information. This project provides a web-based system, which has a facility to make online payments by the registered tax payers which introduced to solve above problem. Further it will maintain a strong relationship with its registered members by sending the details and updates quickly. Along the path towards the web based system from existing system it decided to achieve efficient and effective revenue collection process and reports generation process from the data gathered. After completing the analysis and design, implementation, evaluation and testing this web based system can be established to make effective tax collection process in Sri Lanka. Ultimately it will be add values to national resource base by increasing the life status of all citizens as this cause to increase the tax revenue of the country.
Effective Way of Educative System Through Web and Mobile Game

The use of games in learning and assessment is expected to increase over the next several years. Nowadays most of the students are adapted to playing useless mobile game in their useful time period. Resolve this problem, developing a Web and Mobile game based education system for advanced level students is must. The main purpose of this paper was to develop an online examination system and mobile game education system which suitable for Advanced level students. Prior to start the design and development of the system three online examination systems were analyzed to make the newly developed system more flexible and user friendly in the context of Srilanka. Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and E-R diagram have been developed to represent the whole system. Different features of the online examination system and mobile learning system are discussed for this system. The features include user's registration, examination instruction, valid time of examination, time reminder, submission of the answer script, and release of the examination results and etc. The system enables the admin to create a test from past papers that comprises different subject areas. Testing of the system is done with five users with a test that included 20 questions from four subject areas such as biology, English, General Knowledge, and Information Technology. Web-based educational systems are now becoming part of main stream education. As an essential component of the web based educational systems, the student model enables the system to provide individualized course contents and study guidance, and therefore to help the students with different backgrounds and knowledge levels to achieve their learning goals effectively on the web.
Financial and Teacher Details Handing System for Christ College, Matale

With the understanding of the current situation of the manual school finance handling system, there is an opportunity to insert some user friendly, easy usage and less cost system which we can be mainly suitable for school context. History of the financial management was little much long. Traditional finance handling system was the most popular one. Now it has been developed through many versions. Financial Management System is providing all the objectives which we had free decided. Specially for the schools in Sri Lanka. Users also attract to the system because of easy usage. Simply this system has 05 modules, those are SDS, F&S Fee, Q&I, Teacher and Reporting. In the sds, F&S Fee and Q&I module, administrator can add income and expenses details related to the accounts. Finally through the reporting module can generate report for the specific account separately. In teacher module shows details regarding each teacher and there leave details. And all the data was stored using Mysql databases. This is the basic controlling phase or the back end of the project. By using this admin(principle) can add details, confirm teachers leave applications, reject leave applications and view any detail. In here all the validation done by using jquery. Other than that entire project is based on PHP, Java scrip and Ajax for development. When consider the software architecture model of the system, it consist PHP client layers (principle and teacher) and data base layer which store all the data getting from the front view. When consider the testing and evaluation part, I had done some test user registration and insert some test data to get the expected results. Test all the function and module which interact with the system. Finally within this project I had achieved all the objectives and tasks. It can be developed for future with some functionality for school activities.
Healu Widespread Disease Prevention Network

Among the health issues circulates in the globe, wide spread disease is the major concern in today's world. There are many reasons for the spread of diseases. People are unaware of the criticality of diseases, unable to take necessary precautions such like to keep their environment clean and for the infected, they do not have proper midi-care or more control over the spread of diseases. HealU will solve this issue, it will improve awareness among people to solve their community environmental problems, organize projects and campaigns to help the needed. HealU is a wide spread disease prevention network, generally every person can be a part of it; ideally we will specifically combining the government health sector which includes the authority, Deputy Director General and the Public Health Inspector. Organizations such like WHO, Lions Club, etc. Donors and suppliers like drug companies. Hospitals, doctors are also part of the users and finally the public. HealU provide a social technology platform which connects these parties to provide the solution. The public can report about a problem in their community via SMS or Email which will lead the public health inspector for investigation then he/she will report the problem for approval and will be published in the network notifying the relevant organizations. Therefore it will provide the necessary requirements for the organizations to organize and manage to execute the project. HealU will also improve awareness among people initially acquire patient information from hospitals and provide disease statistics especially to the Deputy Director General; therefore he/she can suggest precautions and notify the public via SMS and Email. These disease statistics is also been used to generate projects in aid for those who are infected so that volunteer organizations can join hands to help people.
Inventory Intermediate system (Customer Order Details)

In the rapidly changing present industrial world saving time and travelling have become two major challenges for most industrialist, entrepreneurs and customers. In that concern today shopping has become more over through the internet; although this saves time it is doubtable whether it is really useful when you are on a journey. There are a lot of websites available today to purchase online, but not all websites are viewable through a mobile phone and even some phones do not have internet access, in terms of mobile phones finding solutions for the above mentioned problems is very critical. Having options to search and purchase products through your mobile will give a distinct advantage to travelers in terms of saving time, As mobiles are handheld devices including such applications is very effective. Especially when people travel, finding the exact and the proper place to get their required items has been difficult with the time factor, with hundreds of thousands of shops lying beside the streets choosing the exact, money worth products is very important, In the meanwhile it should be in the convenient distance. In contemporary there are no proper base to connect buyers and sellers. Creating such platforms is very essential. As a solution we are introducing the all new Inventory intermediate systemfor this problem. Inventory intermediate systemwill guide a person to save his time on searching products and will help most travelers to experience quality shopping.
Management Information System and Website for National Zoological Gardens

The National Zoological Gardens is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Asia. Resourceful conservation of animals by means of learning achieved through the exhibition of species who were adopted with loving care is a mission of Dehiwala Zoological Garden. The project implements a Management Information System and a website for National zoological garden. The core concept of this system is to implement a fully functional Management Information system which is capable of all the internal activities of the National zoological Garden. This System contains all the main functions like all the storage activities, Medical activities and report generations which also contains in a Standalone Zoo Management System. This project delivers Standalone Application and Website that includes the virtual Zoo. The main objective of this system is to replace manual book keeping activities by providing a much easier and user-compatible work area preventing the common manual problems like crashing, running slowly and getting overloaded. Because of the new requirements, the manual system was not up to the challenge. Not only to address these new requirements but also to overcome the existing Problems. Because of the new requirements, the manual system was not up to the challenge. National Zoological Garden decides to migrate to an Information Technology based solution, and hence a web based system called "Virtual Zoo" was developed. By using Virtual Zoo, people can get real experience without going to the National Zoological Garden.
Management Information System for a Small Business Firm

Due to the inefficient and decentralized nature of information sharing and communication methods used for controlling the Management Information System, a number of issues such as high cost, unavailability of e-commerce website, requirement of many systems for handling various functions, unavailability of centralized database(cloud computing), foreign and different context and etc. The project looks at solving these issues by proposing both a business as well as an IT solution. Therefore, this system provides solution to small business firm in Sri Lankan context and it is based on Cloud computing. A comprehensive industrial survey was carried out to gather further details on the subject matter thus the results of it were considered whilst proving or disapproving the hypotheses. The most influential factors identified through the research were then used to design the business solution. These solutions strive to provide an all-round solution; both strategically and systematically were highly rated by the evaluators of the project.
