Item 2D to 3D Image Visualizer(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Bandara, P.B.M.M.A.; Wickramarathna, S.D.H.S.The ordinary photographs are only considered about just an individual photograph itself. Since these photographs act individual character in a scene there is no way to visualize a connection between them. Also browsing of each captured photographs is not relative to other though these photographs are in the same scene. But there is a possible way to reorganize the relative position and orientation of ordinary photographs which are captured by a digital camera device. That is, reorganize the important features on each photographs using feature detection algorithm, then match each photograph by matching these features, then estimate the relative camera pose against each photograph in order to calculate relative replacement and orientation of each photographs on 3D environment. It is useless to calculate the 3D replacement without visualizing them, because the real world scenes are in 3D environment. Therefore, 3D visualizer, to visualize all calculated photographs is developed with very user friendly and interactive way. This project is to develop a system for interactively browsing and exploring unstructured collections of photographs of a scene using a three-dimension interface.Item Android Application for Vehicle Security System(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Perera, P.D.S.; Wickramarathna, S.D.H.S.Current vehicle security systems available in the market are based on Infrared or Radio Frequency technology using a circuit which is attached to the key. This Security system is controlled by a small gadget that is always attached to the key of the vehicle. One of the weaknesses in the current system is that anyone who has the key can unlock the functions of the vehicle and it is one of the major security threats. Proposed system can eradicate this threat by using the password base control system with Bluetooth technology which applicable to any Android Mobile phone (G. Held). This research is based on designing and developing an Android application for vehicle security system [2] which will facilitate the door locking/opening, parking light on/off, air conditioning system on/off and engine off. This application supplies a convenient, efficient and reliable security service to the vehicle ownersItem Forward Engineering tool For Code Generation from UML(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Halyala, H.M.S.H.; Gladkikh I, V.The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a very dominant modeling graphical language for specifying, constructing and documenting the artifacts of software system. UML is a collection of. Best engineering practices that have successful in the modeling for a design of huge and complex systems. Modeling is very important for readability and reuse of the systems. The visual representations of the software are explained by the detail of programming concepts for the Object Oriented techniques. Nowadays UML is become a standard modeling language for the Industry which is used for the software designers. Modeling has plays an important role for any system and contributes to the understanding of the source inputs and outputs. Forward engineering tool for system design and implementation which generating source code from UML class model, and keeping the code and model synchronized and generating corresponding tables from UML. This tool is focused on creating a technology which will reduce the time of software development life cycle by providing an interface to instantly create the foundation of a hibernate project, within a few minutes of time as a Global software framework .Item Mobile Based Travel Guide System(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Weerasekara, M,K.; Dissanayake, B.A.K.Mobile phones have become a simple and common commodity while these devices can facilitate travel guidance due to their effectiveness and straightforwardness (Baus,et al.,2005). Mobile phones based travel guiding is promising to become the best-targeted guiding medium that offers fresh ways to their end users. Compared to the global mobile travel guide system context (Hinze and Junmanee, 2006), there's less development of such solutions locally. Therefore 'Travel Advisor' can be considered as an effective local solution for travelers. 'Travel Advisor' is mobile based travel guide system which was fully built using Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) and java library (Knudsen and Sing, 2005) for sending and receiving short service messages(SMSItem Service Quality and Customer Loyalty: A Case on Mobile Telecommunication Sector in Colombo District(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Ratnayake, K.U.P.; Kulathunga Uva, K.M.M.C.BIn today's dynamic business environment, obtaining the customer loyalty has become a business asset and a competitive edge for various companies. In order to get that one of the major tool they use is Service Quality. This has become a common practice in Mobile Telecommunication Sector as well. A service can be defined as any activity or benefit that one party can offer to another that is essentially intangible and does not result in the ownership of anything (Kotler and Armstrong, 2007). Further they defined quality as the characteristics of a service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs of customers. It is believed that service quality as a key lever to create customer loyalty (Oliveira, 2003). In order to clarify this idea, the mobile telecommunication sector, all the service providers are applying and practicing the tool service quality to ensure customer satisfaction and long term relationships with customers which ultimately result in customer loyalty in light of the literature, it has been identified the significance of the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty. Further, the literature proves that the main influential factors of service quality to loyalty differ from industry to industry. It also suggests that even in the same industry, the influential factors can differ country to country or contextually. However, it couldn't be found any research related to Sri Lankan mobile telecom sector.Item Software package for Issuing and Analyzing Traffic Spot fines(Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, 2012) Thilange, V.P.I; Gladkikh, V.This project is focused on creating software package for which will reduce the time of current traffic spot fine issuing and payment process by providing software package for police officers and post officers, do their current process with less time period and to reduce th4 time wastage of the offender. The main concept of this technology is to use a mobile phone for police man instead of a traditional walky-talky. The android mobile application is able to insert the offence information done by the driver as the input of the system. Web application can access the database and using that offender can pay the fine. In addition to that the Java application can connect to the database and it can analyze the records and generate the reports. This will effectively reduce the usage of time and resources in the phases of, issuing, paying, analyze traffic fine records, maintenance records. There are several tools available for accessing database using mobile phone and analyze back data, but those are written in J2ME language. There is no similar tool available which provides this kind of architecture for issue, payments and analyzes traffic spot fines. Also tool has the capability of do the CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operations for table records and analyzes records by charts
