That is limited to internal resources. So innovators are a move to open innovation. In the Sri Lankan context, it is blooming concept. And the construction industry also developing and competitive industry. So this study assessing the level of open innovation management practices in Sri Lanka. For the study 12 companies in the construction industry in Sri Lanka was drawn from a population of construction companies registered under the chamber of construction industry. Semi-structured interviews were used to gather relevant data from the participants. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data using Microsoft excel 2010. According to the research findings, it can be concluded that firms in the construction industry have a low level of awareness about open innovation, and low level of interest in open innovation practices. Also through this study, it has found out that technology sourcing, technology scouting, vertical technology collaboration, and horizontal technology collaboration, are low level and its impact on negatively open innovation management practices in Sri Lankan construction industry.
