Human Resource Management System (HRMS) is one of the major categories of this computer based software solutions which is used by various levels of managerial bodies. Information relating to employees of an organization such aspersonal and employment details, payroll details, leave details etc., are usually components of a Human Resource Management System. SMS based leave requesting facility, online filling in performance appraisals, applying for vacancies through the internet etc, are extended facilities of such a system. This work attempted the implementation of an FIRMS with SMS based leave requesting facility. Java and My SQL server was used in Application and Database Development. System runs on Tomcat web server. Ozeki sever was used for SMS (Short Massage Service) requirement. The developed system can be operated on any Windows based machines. The ultimate goal Of the system is to develop a low cost, smooth running system, which addresses all user requirements.
