Today the highest business competition has made sustainable waste management as a trend in hospitality organizations' environment. According to the main purpose the study analyzed the organizational & environmental benefits from sustainable hotel waste management practices in Kandy district, Sri Lanka. The study was adopted a descriptive survey research design. Convenience sampling method was used to select the respondents. Data collection instruments included questionnaires targeting the hotel general manager, departmental managers and junior staff. The collected data were coded tabulated and edited with the aid of SPSS electronic statistical package then presented using table, graphs and pie charts to enhance a meaningful description. The data were analyzed using the mixed method including frequencies distribution percentages and means to explain the variable characteristics, while inferential statistics including correlation to determine the variable relationship. As per the research findings, hotels in Kandy have to overcome many challenges to gain organizational and environmental benefits from sustainable waste management practice.
