Abstract
The purpose of this research was to identify whether the output of the shift based apparel industries vary with the change of labor shifts and identify and analyze the reasons that affect on output of the each labor shifts. This research paper developed a model to examine the effect of factors that are related to the output variances of Board of Investment registered garment industries. The designed model was tested by selecting five shift based apparel-manufacturing firms from five export-processing zones. The data are collected primary and secondary sources, primary data gathered from sewing machine operators by using questionnaire. The output of the day shift having strong positive relationship with machine operator's efficiency other than the other factors but night shift output will be depend on few more factors than the sewing machine operators efficiency.
