    Management Information System and Website for National Zoological Gardens

    The National Zoological Gardens is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Asia. Resourceful conservation of animals by means of learning achieved through the exhibition of species who were adopted with loving care is a mission of Dehiwala Zoological Garden. The project implements a Management Information System and a website for National zoological garden. The core concept of this system is to implement a fully functional Management Information system which is capable of all the internal activities of the National zoological Garden. This System contains all the main functions like all the storage activities, Medical activities and report generations which also contains in a Standalone Zoo Management System. This project delivers Standalone Application and Website that includes the virtual Zoo. The main objective of this system is to replace manual book keeping activities by providing a much easier and user-compatible work area preventing the common manual problems like crashing, running slowly and getting overloaded. Because of the new requirements, the manual system was not up to the challenge. Not only to address these new requirements but also to overcome the existing Problems. Because of the new requirements, the manual system was not up to the challenge. National Zoological Garden decides to migrate to an Information Technology based solution, and hence a web based system called "Virtual Zoo" was developed. By using Virtual Zoo, people can get real experience without going to the National Zoological Garden.
